Open Source Notices

MorphX™ is built on the shoulders of world-class open source projects. This page provides full attribution and license information as required by each component’s license terms.


Binary Replacement Notice:In accordance with the LGPL license covering FFmpeg and 7-Zip, users have the right to replace the bundled binaries with their own compatible builds. Replacement instructions are provided for each component below. The bundled binaries are unmodified official releases from each project’s official distribution.

FFmpeg

Version 6.x

FFmpeg is a complete, cross-platform solution to record, convert and stream audio and video. MorphX uses FFmpeg to handle audio and video format conversions, subtitle conversions, and disc audio extraction (DVD-Audio AOB files).

Binary Replacement

In accordance with the LGPL 2.1 license, users may replace the bundled ffmpeg.exe and ffprobe.exe with their own compatible builds. The binaries are located in the MorphX installation directory under resources\ffmpeg\. Replace ffmpeg.exe and ffprobe.exe with any LGPL-compliant FFmpeg build of your choice.

Pandoc

Version 3.x

Pandoc is a universal document converter. MorphX uses Pandoc to convert between document formats including PDF, DOCX, EPUB, HTML, Markdown, LaTeX, RTF, ODT, and many more.

Binary Replacement

The bundled Pandoc binary is located at resources\pandoc\pandoc.exe in the MorphX installation directory. Users may replace it with any compatible Pandoc build.

7-Zip

Version 24.x

7-Zip is a file archiver with a high compression ratio. MorphX uses the 7-Zip standalone console binary (7zr.exe) for 7Z archive creation and extraction, and for RAR extraction.

Binary Replacement

The bundled binary is located at resources\7zip\7zr.exe in the MorphX installation directory. It may be replaced with any compatible 7-Zip standalone build.

ImageMagick is a free and open-source software suite for displaying, converting, and editing raster image and vector image files. MorphX uses ImageMagick for RAW camera format conversion (CR2, NEF, ARW, ORF, RAF, DNG), PSD, EPS, XCF, HDR, DDS, OpenEXR, EMF, WMF, and PCX format support.

Binary Replacement

The bundled binary is located at resources\imagemagick\magick.exe in the MorphX installation directory. It may be replaced with any compatible ImageMagick 7.x portable build.

Dart archive package

MorphX also uses the Dart archive package for pure-Dart ZIP, TAR, GZip, and BZip2 operations.
